Hers vs Noom
Hims & Hers sells FDA-approved GLP-1s only, from about $298 a month all-in — $149 for the Wegovy pill plus a $149 membership. Noom Med bundles compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide with its coaching app from $179 a month, or runs a $129-a-month brand-name track where you pay for the drug through insurance. What the money buys
Noom vs Hims is really a question about what is included. Noom's compounded programmes are all-in — medication, clinician and the Noom app in one subscription, from $179 a month for the microdose plan after a $79 introductory three weeks — but they bill in 12-week blocks, so leaving mid-quarter still costs you the quarter. Hims bills monthly and splits the charge: a $149 membership ($39 the first month) plus medication at $149 for the Wegovy, Ozempic or Foundayo pill, $199 for a pen, $299 for Zepbound.
Noom also has a brand-name track that Hims has no equivalent of: $39 to start, then $129 a month for the clinical care only, with the drug paid through commercial insurance, the $50-per-fill Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, or cash. If your insurance covers a GLP-1, that is the cheapest route on either site.
Compounded or not
Hims sells FDA-approved medication exclusively — Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic, Foundayo and Mounjaro — and has advertised no compounded product since settling with Novo Nordisk in March 2026. Noom offers both: compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide on its cash programmes, or brand-name drugs through its clinician-care track.
Compounded GLP-1s are made by a state-licensed pharmacy and are not FDA-approved, which is a different risk profile rather than a discount on the same product. If you want the pharmacy-made option at all, Hims is not the provider for it; if you specifically do not, Noom's cheapest plans are not for you either.
Support, records and getting out
Noom's advantage is the programme around the drug: psychology-based lessons, tracking, coaches and the GLP-1 Companion are in every plan, and it scores 4.5 on Trustpilot across 66,959 reviews. Hims buys you 24/7 messaging with licensed providers, monthly check-ins and side-effect support, and scores 2.9 across 9,294 reviews covering all its product lines.
Both have billing histories worth knowing. Noom settled a class action over its auto-renewal and cancellation practices for $56 million in 2022. Hims holds two FDA warning letters from September 2025 over compounded-GLP-1 marketing, and in July 2026 the FTC, California and Utah sued it over billing, cancellation and health-data sharing; that case is pending and unproven. Cancelling Noom means acting before 11:59 p.m. Eastern the day before a quarterly billing date; cancelling Hims means two days' notice, and ending the membership also ends your medication plan.
Which one to choose
Choose Hims & Hers if
you want FDA-approved medication only, monthly billing rather than 12-week blocks, and round-the-clock provider messaging on a self-pay plan.

Does Hims & Hers still sell compounded GLP-1s?
No. No compounded product appears on the Hims or Hers weight-loss pages, the membership page, the FAQ or the terms as of September 2026, which follows the settlement it reached with Novo Nordisk in March 2026. Noom does still offer compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide on its cash programmes.
Which one can I use insurance with?
Noom. Its Telehealth for Branded Meds track charges $129 a month for clinical care and coordinates commercial insurance or the $50-per-fill Medicare GLP-1 Bridge for the medication. Hims is self-pay only and does not bill insurance at all, though the medication charge is HSA and FSA eligible by reimbursement.
Do I need a separate Noom app subscription?
No. Every Noom Med plan includes full access to the Noom app, its lessons, tracking and coaches, so there is no separate Noom Weight membership to buy. Hims includes provider messaging and check-ins in its membership but no comparable behaviour-change programme.
