MEDVi vs Ro
MEDVi advertises compounded semaglutide from $116 a month with the medication included. Ro sells only FDA-approved GLP-1s at about $298 a month all-in, or $223 on an annual membership. MEDVi is far cheaper, but carries a 2026 FDA warning letter, a BBB F grade and a pending class action; Ro has no regulatory action against it.

Price: not the same product
MEDVi's compounded plans include the medication, clinician visits, shipping, dietitian visits and 24/7 support, advertised from $116 a month for semaglutide and $166 for tirzepatide on its price-locked landing page. Its main page tells a different story — $179 for the first month and $299 for refills — and the figure you see depends on which MEDVi page you land on. Its brand-name track is a $99 monthly membership plus a medication price MEDVi does not publish.
Ro's cheapest all-in cash cost is about $298 a month month-to-month, or $223 if you prepay an annual membership: $149 for the Wegovy pill at the manufacturer's cash price plus the Ro Body membership. Ro's prices are the same NovoCare, LillyDirect and TrumpRx prices you would pay going direct, with the membership buying the clinician, the coaching and the insurance work.
The regulatory record is the difference
MEDVi received an FDA warning letter on 20 February 2026 in the agency's second round of letters to telehealth firms marketing compounded GLP-1s, and faces a class action filed in April 2026. Its BBB profile carries an F grade and 611 customer reviews averaging 1.86 out of 5, against a Trustpilot score of 4.3 from more than 14,000 reviews — a split worth understanding before you buy.
We found no FDA warning letter, government action or manufacturer lawsuit against Ro. It is BBB-accredited with an A+ grade, though its BBB customer reviews average 1.11 out of 5 across 309 reviews, and its Trustpilot score is 4.0 from over 6,400. Ro's complaints are almost entirely about billing confusion rather than the product.
What you are buying, and how to stop
MEDVi dispenses through named compounding pharmacies — Triad Rx, RedRock Pharmacy and Beaker Pharmacy & Compounding — and sells a compounded GLP-1 tablet alongside the injections. Compounded medication is not FDA-approved and is legal only as a patient-specific preparation now that the shortages have ended. Ro dispenses FDA-approved medication through its own pharmacy network or a LillyDirect partner pharmacy.
Cancelling differs in the detail that costs money. MEDVi requires an email to hello@medvi.org or a portal chat at least 72 hours before the next billing date; inside that window you are charged for the next cycle. Ro needs 48 hours' notice and cancels from your account or by email. Neither refunds fees already paid.
Which one to choose
Choose MEDVi if
your priority is the lowest advertised monthly price for a compounded GLP-1 with coaching included, and you will confirm the ongoing refill price at checkout before you commit.

Why is MEDVi so much cheaper than Ro?
Because they sell different products. MEDVi's low prices are for compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide made by a pharmacy and not FDA-approved. Ro sells FDA-approved Wegovy, Zepbound and Ozempic at the manufacturers' own cash prices, and adds a membership fee for the clinical service.
Does either take insurance?
