Two charges, and Sesame is unusually clear about it: the Success by Sesame membership covers the provider relationship, video visits, unlimited chat and the tracking tools, and the medication is billed separately only if prescribed. The membership is $99 a month billed every 28 days, or $78, $69 and $59 a month on three-, six- and twelve-month terms billed once per term. Medication starts at $149 for the Wegovy pill or pen and $299 for Zepbound, and the page states there are no markups on medication — those figures match the manufacturers' own self-pay tiers rather than a Sesame margin. Foundayo is listed but was greyed out when we checked. Lab work is excluded from the subscription in Arizona, Hawaii, North Dakota, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota and Wyoming.
Is Sesame legit?
Sesame, Inc. is a New York telehealth marketplace operating since 2017, BBB-accredited with an A+ rating, whose providers are independent practitioners rather than employees. Its weight-loss line sells only FDA-approved brand medication — Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic, Mounjaro, Rybelsus and Foundayo — with no compounded product anywhere on the page. We found no FDA warning letter, FTC action or manufacturer lawsuit against it.

Month-to-month plans bill every 28 days and multi-month plans bill once at the start of each term, so on a twelve-month plan the cancellation window comes round once a year.
- Refunds:
- Cancel at least three hours before your initial visit for a full refund; once that visit has happened, the first month is not refunded. Fees already paid for previous months are never refunded. Sesame's general platform terms describe multi-month plans differently — an early cancellation re-priced at the month-to-month rate before any refund is worked out, which can leave nothing owed — and the two do not fully reconcile.

Reviewers praise friendly staff, fast scheduling and a smooth digital experience, with providers who listen. Its BBB file is A+ and accredited, and the small sample of reviews there is more mixed: one routine same-day visit that went well, one describing technical and support problems while trying to avoid a monthly fee, and one complaining of being charged when the practitioner ultimately declined to treat the issue. Because Sesame's providers are independent practitioners rather than employees, some of that variance reflects which clinician a patient was booked with rather than one uniform standard — the same caveat that applies to any marketplace.

Insurance: partial: the Success by Sesame membership is cash-pay and Sesame does not accept Medicare, Medicaid or third-party insurance for it, but the medication is bought separately and your own insurance may cover that at your pharmacy
